Sorry, folks, I know it’s been awhile since I’ve posted here. But don’t despair, I’m still on the wagon.
I was in New York City over the weekend, the land of purloined WiFi access, and the networks I could hack into wouldn’t let me access this site. Guess it’s just so loaded with great features!
Anyway, things continue to get better, and tomorrow I’ll be stepping down from the 14 mg nicotine patch to the 7 mg product. Two weeks of using that and I should be completely nicotine free for the first time in too long a time.
I had used the 21 mg for about a month, then the 14 mg for two weeks ending today, so this is the program called for by the makers of Nicoderm CQ, and I’d think they’d want people to stay on their stuff as long as they can bleed $50 per package out of them, so I’m hoping I won’t go through terrible withdrawal when I stop using the patch altogether.
I bet I won’t.

Well, I made it through an Election Day in the newsroom without so much as a craving, no doubt helped by three Red Bulls.
They gave me wings. But not lung cancer or emphysema. So that’s good.
Nader was robbed though!
Onward, regardless.

No, dearest fellow travelers, I have not fallen off the wagon. But I will admit having too much to do to have updated this Web log in the past several days. But day 25 is almost over, and I get less and less tempted by smokes every passing second.
Now, if I can get through the mindnumbing frenetic rush of an Election Day in a newsroom, much less that of The News-Times, tomorrow without smoking, I’ll be all the more filled with confidence. And I’m pretty confident I will.
Syntax who needs?
