Totally unrelated but astounding drum solo
Posted by Keith Whamond under irrelevant, weezer
Pat Wilson, arguably the most talented member of Weezer, comes oh-so-close to nailing Neil Peart’s legendary drum breakdown in Rush’s seminal “Tom Sawyer”, a song very close to my heart: [HTML1] Is this all a thinly-veiled ad for Weezer’s new effort, The Red Album? Sure. Pick it up. Cuomo offers up some cringe-worthy lyrics throughout, and the songs with their bassist Scott Schriner on lead vox are laughably bad, but all in all it’s their best effort since “Pinterton”. Worth the $12.99 for “The Greatest Man That Ever Lived” alone, although “The Angel and the One”, “Pig” and “Miss Sweeney” are all truly spectacular. “Dreamin’” is pretty good, too.
